They say that dogs always love you. It seems like instinct. Oh, sure, there are individuals that they don’t like, but it’s not hard finding a dog that will jump on you and love you any time you look at them. A cat’s love has to be earned.

He’s so hot. And he’s feral, so you know he knows how to take care of himself and protect his females. I’ve had my naughty bits removed, but believe me, I’ve been trying my hardest at squirting pheromones out at him.

Appreciation 5/4/21

I think cats must be among the most Zen creatures alive. Star just ran off a burst of energy, flying through the house, upstairs and down. In a dog, it would be called the “zoomies”, and now, she’s lying here with me snoozing. She shifts from one state to another seamlessly.

I am something of a workaholic, and when I’m depressed or blue, I throw myself into my work too hard. At this point, I don’t have a job (and since I’ll no longer be teaching, I guess I’ll end up with a low-responsibility routine job) so I’m just trying to keep myself busy.

To adopt or not to adopt 12/7/20

Bella and Purrsy made my old house a home. They’re needy, misbehaving little children, and you can’t help but love them. They were expert snugglers, and so very sweet. Every morning, I used to wake up laying on my side with Bella sleeping against my belly, and Purrsy fast asleep in the crook of my bent legs.
