I don’t think we ever truly lose our pets. It’s been several years since I lost my Bella (my last fur baby since getting Star last year, about six years after Bella passed) and I still miss her and Sir Purrsalot pretty much every day.

Lifesavers 6/18/21

I’m feeling lightheaded and sick to my stomach. I don’t think it’s dehydration; I’ve been drinking a lot of water lately. I think it’s just heat exhaustion. But ironically, I’m not worried about myself. I’m worried about my cat

I’ve also heard “experts” say that animals don’t dream when anybody who sleeps with a pet knows that they do, and that animals can’t see in two dimensions although I’ve seen pets try to interact with their reflection.

All About Rocky 3/10/21

Animals have a way to work their way into our hearts. As I write this, my cat, Star, is cleaning herself as she is leaning on my left side, cramping my arm and making it difficult (and a little painful) to type this, but I would never bother her.

To adopt or not to adopt 12/7/20

Bella and Purrsy made my old house a home. They’re needy, misbehaving little children, and you can’t help but love them. They were expert snugglers, and so very sweet. Every morning, I used to wake up laying on my side with Bella sleeping against my belly, and Purrsy fast asleep in the crook of my bent legs.

A Love Story 1/15/19

I knew she had to be in the cab. A mile down the road, she found her way to the front of the car, and onto my lap, where she peed, laid down, rested her head on my arm and fell asleep.
